Now for some facts, after you watched the government propaganda.  All of these facts, unlike that propaganda, are in fact mathematical realities.

From Bloomberg:

The agency’s deposit insurance fund, supported by fees paid by banks, fell to $13 billion in the first quarter from $17.3 billion in the preceding three-month period. The FDIC has imposed an emergency fee to raise $5.6 billion to rebuild the fund, with more assessments possible this year. The agency forecasts failures will cost $70 billion through 2013.

The FDIC lost most of its $50 billion original stake due to mismanagement, refusal to close troubled institutions, and according to the Office of The Inspector General:

May 21 (Bloomberg) — The Office of Thrift Supervision authorized “inappropriate” backdating of capital by six institutions, including IndyMac Bancorp Inc., that led to “misleading financial reporting,” the U.S. Treasury inspector general said in a report.

Oversight failures were “very serious” and included a senior deputy director in August instructing a lender to backdate and a regional director authorizing revised accounting, according to the report today. OTS left unchanged revisions at three unidentified thrifts. Republican Senator Charles Grassley said the actions were “completely unacceptable” and a congressional subcommittee planned an investigation.

IndyMac subsequent to this event failed and has cost the FDIC insurance fund a very substantial amount of money and we are not even being told who the other three institutions are or whether they are still operating!

How much is the $13 billion in FDIC insurance?

The FDIC insures 4.8 trillion dollars in deposits in US banks and thrifts, and yet they have 0.27% – more than two-thirds less than they had a bit more than a year ago – in money to “cover” those deposits.

It is true that the FDIC also has the ability to borrow (up to $100 billion now, and they are trying to secure the ability to borrow up to $500 billion) from Treasury should they run short of money.

It is true that nobody has (yet) ever lost one penny of insured funds at an American bank.

And finally, it is almost certainly true that should Congress have to print up literally any amount of money, irrespective of whether that printing of raw money drives oil to $300 a barrel, gasoline to $10 a gallon, and bread to $20 a loaf, in order to prevent the FDIC from being able to pay you with (perhaps worthless) dollars, they will – because they understand full well that the alternative could quite easily be that you reach for a pitchfork – or worse.

But if you believe that having 0.27% of the insured base of deposits as a reserve, having lost more than two thirds of the original reserve due to malfeasance and misfeasance, when not one person has been indicted, prosecuted or imprisoned for their misconduct over the previous two years constitutes “well-capitalized, prudently operated and able to meet insurance obligations”…….

… you are free to believe that.

I will however strongly suggest that you investigate the facts for yourself before believing Susie Orman playing “mouthpiece” for a clearly-desperate regulatory apparatus that has allowed the wholesale looting of the American Taxpayer to occur – a regulatory apparatus and government, from the top down that will, it appears, continue to rob you blind until and unless you, the people, demand that it stop.

Disclosure: Short the American people, who appear to be as dumb as a box of rocks for putting up with this crap.

Meddling with the Middle Class

FactsNews – Dear Mr. Biden, Please leave the middle class alone!

Middle Class Task Force and the Federal Reserve

Posted by pensotti on 05/28/09

Vice President Biden is charged with a Task Force on the Middle Class. The stated objectives of the Task Force are:

  • Expanding education and lifelong training opportunities
  • Improving work and family balance
  • Restoring labor standards, including workplace safety
  • Helping to protect middle-class and working-family incomes
  • Protecting retirement security
  • While I do not believe that the Federal Government should be in charge of our education, our work life balance or labor standards, I do believe that if the Federal Reserve System was abolished we could accomplish the last two stated goals through a free market monetary system of non fiat currency. Dr. Paul explains this best in his article titled The Inflation Tax, which can be found here:

The task force is asking for comments and ideas to help it with its stated goals. I say we all send our Vice President a nice email about the troubles of our Federal Reserve System and how it has ruined the middle class through inflationary monetary policy. FactsNews’ message to Biden…

You can start helping the middle class by eliminating the Federal Reserve and answering questions about 9/11. I saw the video of Biden squirm and run away when confronted about the conclusive scientific evidence that nano-thermite was found in the rubble. You will not take over the middle class. We are fine by ourselves and do NOT need any more government meddling. If you want to help the middle class, let us keep our guns, get rid of the income tax, Federal Reserve, and let us grow our own healthy food and take care of our own healthcare. Please leave the middle class alone and take your financial manipulations elsewhere. BTW – What ever happened to MoveOn? Weren’t we against the Iraq war a few months ago?

U.S. News & World Report Piece Implies People Who Question 9/11 Mentally Ill

FactsNews – We at FactsNews do not subscribe to the official “story” of 9/11. 19 (mostly Saudi) hijackers with poor flight training, after being followed around for months by the FBI, board their planes and crash into WTC1&2, the Pentagon, and crash land in Shankesville PA leaving no large fragments. I am sorry for the victims that perished in this tragedy, however when government officials are questioned, they are dismissive and refer to Popular Mechanics (a private org)’s investigation into the attacks. I guess we have a mental condition. Miraculously, we at FactsNews learned how to read, write and use the Internet on a daily basis, so unfortunately for the anti-truth people out there living in 1984-land, we are fighting for answers…

Finally, it should be obvious that the opinions of mental health professionals are only as sound as their knowledge. For example, a mental health professional in 1640 would likely have labeled Galileo crazy for saying that the Earth orbits around the Sun. More importantly, a German psychologist who heard from a patient in 1933 – when Hitlerstarted consolidating power in Germany – that Hitler was a dangerous fascist who would launch a world war, try to take over the world and kill millions would likely be labeled as delusional.

Just as with any field, the opinions of mental health professional are only as good as their knowledge.

Indeed, even the 9/11 Commissioners themselves now say that they don’t believe the government’s version of 9/11. For example:

    • The Commission’s co-chairs said that the CIA (and likely the White House) “obstructed our investigation”
    • The Senior Counsel to the 9/11 Commission (John Farmer) – who led the 9/11 staff’s inquiry – saidAt some level of the government, at some point in time…there was an agreement not to tell the truth about what happened“. He also said “I was shocked at how different the truth was from the way it was described …. The tapes told a radically different story from what had been told to us and the public for two years…. This is not spin. This is not true.”

Given that even the 9/11 Commissioners themselves no longer believe the government’s version of 9/11, is a mental health professional who believes the official version really saying that the entire 9/11 Commission is delusional?

BART Police shoot and kill innocent man, then LIE about it in court…VIDEO (WARNING GRAPHIC)

Welcome to America… The land of the innocent until shot dead in the back. If this is not a police state I don’t know what is. Police are arresting two men, and the one (highly trained) police officer has his gun aimed at the man, then he pulls the trigger and the man lets out “I have a daughter…” then dies on the platform. The multiple witnesses stand in awe. They have just witness a cold blooded murder and NOTHING IS HAPPENING!!! WTF!!! Are we all going to have to get shot for you to care? What if that was your son or daughter, I bet you would care then…  Change is here, and its here to stay.

A few thoughts on the US, North Korea & South Korea

Here at FactsNews we are and have been very troubled by the recent spark of events taking place in North & South Korea. I don’t know if you call this plain ‘ole instinct, but something seemed very fishy about the sudden suicide of the South Korean President, followed by rumors of war with N.Korea.
Its no surprise to us in America that when someone knows too much or has stepped on a few important toes they all of a sudden commit suicide or happen to be assassinated. Throughout history we have seen our great leaders killed right before our eyes, instilling fear that in turns results in obedience (doing what the government tells us to do). Its time that people start to use logic and begin to connect the dots before we are further misled and eventually enslaved.

    Yes I said it!

We must ask questions and think twice about the topics and issues being brought up by our government sponsored media. They are not trying to keep you informed, they are trying to convince you that what the US is doing is right and IT IS NOT.

We must be cognizant of the fact that everything is not what it seems….

And remember that history always repeats itself (and its not a coincidence)….

The following is a line from a LA Times article written in 1968

    N. Korea Told U.N. of U.S. ‘Provocations’

The government of North Korea warned in an official memorandum last Oct. 18

that the United States was seeking to provoke a new war in Korea and that such

    House Considering Censoring Internet

    Reposted from

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO “STICKS AND STONES can break your bones, but words will never hurt you”?

The Internet has given average Americans unparalleled access to information that the elites historically have kept under wraps by controlling access to it. Now, Congress is trying to rein in that access by making it so that the government can go after someone for hurting another person’s feelings on the World Wide Web.

Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-Calif.) has introduced the Megan Meier Cyberbullying Prevention Act (HR 1966) that could make it a felony to use your “blog” or web page on sites like MySpace and Facebook “to cause substantial emotional distress” through “severe, repeated, and hostile” speech. MySpace and Facebook are web sites that allow an individual to post information on the Internet, including photos, video and text, and then share it with anyone around the world.

The bill has 17 co-sponsors and is currently stuck in the House Committee on the Judiciary. While no one likes a bully, the problem with making a  federal case out of “cyberbullying” is that it could apply to independent journalists, organizations and individuals that the government or special interest groups do not like.

“It would have the effect of stifling free speech online under the threat of bringing federal criminal charges against anyone for any reason.

Traditionally, the Constitution said there was no remedy for hurt feelings. Miss Sanchez’s dangerous new legislation would change that, making it possible for the Justice Department to prosecute anyone for no other reason than he wrote bad things about someone else.

And they say 9/11 wasn’t an inside job….
